Thanksgiving is quickly approaching, which means you might be wondering how to give Thanks to those you hold dear. Have you ever noticed the way strangers begin to smile at you, people are generally more upbeat and hardly ever is the chance to say “Happy Thanksgiving” or “Have a Merry Christmas” ever passed up. There just something about the holiday season that seams to bring out the best.
It’s the season to give gifts…it’s the season to give Thanks! Of course, everyone does so in their own special way…which I why I wanted to look into some of expressions and actions of those giving thanks. This is what I found:
When you rise in the morning, give thanks for the light, for your life, for your strength. Give thanks for your food and for the joy of living. If you see no reason to give thanks, the fault lies in yourself.
Develop an attitude of gratitude, and give thanks for everything that happens to you, knowing that every step forward is a step toward achieving something bigger and better than your current situation.
- Brian Tracy
Technology gives us power, but it does not and cannot tell us how to use that power. Thanks to technology, we can instantly communicate across the world, but it still doesn't help us know what to say.
- Jonathan Sacks
I give thanks to my Creator for this wonderful life where each of us has the opportunity to learn lessons we could not fully comprehend by any other means.
